I can't see the islands out of my bedroom window, one mile away. It's been constantly cloudy and raining off and on for two days straight. But I suppose, in Brittany, even the rain is a beautiful thing. It's clensing for the soul, and it brings about a very comfortable sense of well being. But alas, it makes me wish I was home with my family and friends, playing nertz and drinking hot coffee.
This afternoon, despite the rain, I went with Charrolette (Mamma-sho's neice) to a one-hundred year old house turned museum. The house (which over-looks the entirety of Dinard) sits right on the top of a cliff, and is built with different levels of stairs, pools, and patios going all the way down to the water. Absolutely gorgeous.
In the house beside the museum-house there was a wedding taking place. Very romantic and talk about a good veiw for wedding pictures!
This evening Thomas was insistant on going to the Marry-go-around. There was a slight lull in the rain so I consented and we walked down to the go-around. Well we arrived just in time for the rain to pick back up. The thing is covered though so I told him we could stay and he could ride. I stayed under the protection of the canopy. He was was in the process of deciding which car he wanted when suddenly he became insistant on going back home. Okay then... Your wish is my command.
We had dinner, which was pretty uneventful, and I put the kids down to sleep. And that brings me to now. I'm not sure what the plan is for the rest of the evening, but I imagine it will include alot of rest and relaxation. Sounds like a good plan to me.
