Whew! This day is over as far I'm concerned. Dinner was barely bearable. But, I did realize that I work really well under tense and stressful situations, so that's a plus anyhow. Long story short, about three different things got spilt by three different people (I'm happy to announce that I was not one of those people) and all three things were silently cleaned up by yours truly. Anything to escape the tensness of each moment. After the hot soup got thrown into the air and everyone who got burned left to wash up in cold water, I told the person who shall not be named, that it really wasn't her/his fault, and I cleaned up the spilt soup in an attempt to make eveyone forget what happened when they came back. Well, at least not dwell on it. No one was serioulsy harmed, though, so no worries. And the rest of meal time was spent telling jokes which everyone (who understood french) laughed at half-heartedly in an attempt to lighten the mood. I smiled and nodded along.
The past few days have been pretty uneventful. I wake up, eat breakfast, play with the kids, eat lunch, play with the kids, relax during nap time, play with the kids, intervene when neccessary, eat dinner etc.. etc..
Oh yeah! I went to the market again yesterday with Cecile. We picked up a bunch of fresh fruit and vegatables, and I put in an order for a really cool family gift. I'm really excited about this gift by the way, and I'm excited about keeping it secret until my return.
This afternoon the boys put on a miagic show. That was pure entertainment. And we had chocolate cake after wich was practically a taste of home.
