last night for dinner we went to the creperie again. that place will never get old! after dinner, elizabeth, jeanne and myself, walked down to the boardwalk for icecream. after, they took me on a backroad tour of the neighborhood and we wound up at this beautiful overlook. i mean it was crazy breathing-taking. we continued walking and somehow came full circle back to the house. of coures me and my directional problems left me shocked when we came to the gate. we got pjs on and watched a movie, then i went up to bed.
there was a chill in the air today but the rain held up for the majority of it so it made for good badminton weather, which we took advantage of. i spent about an hour tossing the birdee to little thomas who managed to whack my head with his racket. i suggested a different game after that.
i took the boys to town in a quest for deliscious candies. it was a success, and the candies almost made it home before the boys finished them off.
i learned a new game today. it's chinese and its called mahjong, maybe you heard of it? it was pretty fun, like a chinese spin-off of rummie, only with white blocks and you have to yell 'poong' . loads of fun i'm telling you! :)
we ate dinner, which was fantastic as always (thank you salonge). we hung out for a while and the girls went to bed a few minutes ago, which brings me to now.
im tired, but it's a good tired. for some reason the whole missing home hit kind of hard today. i dont know why, it didn't take away from the joy of the moment or anything, i just felt a little void. maybe it's just that i've gone a week without any hugs, just hello and goodbye kisses. i want a bear hug. and well...you just don't really get those over here.
